In keeping with its reputation as the ’Seafood Capital of Scotland’, there are some excellent restaurants, cafés and pubs nearby for relaxing in after a pleasant day out exploring all the wonderful scenery and interesting attractions which Argyll has. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan, just 2 miles’ drive along the coastal road. Dunollie, Dunstaffnage and Kilchurn Castles are some of the nearby castles to visit as part of a day’s sightseeing. Further afield but within an hour’s drive, visitors can enjoy the scenery of Glencoe, take a trip to Fort William to see Ben Nevis, catch the steam train to Mallaig or take a visit to Inveraray to enjoy the castle or infamous jail.
