Wander a ¼ mile down the lanes to the Cholmondeston Marina, stop for delicious refreshments and start your walk along the Shropshire union canal towpath which then links to the Llangollen canal.
The Whitegate Way, Delamere Forest, Sandstone trail, Peckforton and Beeston Castles are good walking places. Tatton Park, Cholmondeley Castle, Bewildered need visiting, not to mention the Crocky trail if you have younger family members. For racing enthusiasts we have Chester race course (four legged! ) and Oulton Park ( four and two wheel !) very nearby. Chester deserves a visit, full of history and of course it’s very famous zoo.
