This delightful workers cottage was built in the 1770s and is situated in a conservation village designed by the renowned architect Robert Adam for the 1st Earl of Lonsdale. One of a collection of pretty sandstone cottages set around lawned courtyards, the cottage has a listed status, and the charm and character of this historic property is retained and evident today. Lowther Cottage is furnished in a delightful mix of contemporary and traditional décor to offer a most appealing holiday home. An enclosed patio area just off the kitchen offers space to sit and enjoy dining al fresco. Cyclists keen to take advantage of the fabulous routes in the area will appreciate the bike storage facilities. A short distance from the pretty village of Askham, Lowther Village is ideally situated for exploring Ullswater, Keswick and enjoying the delights of the Northern Lakes.
