OVERTON HOUSE OVERVIEW
Spoil yourself in this high quality holiday accommodation with hot tub and spectacular views over the Taw Valley. Enjoying a peaceful, elevated position, in beautiful rural surroundings, this lovely home is only 12; mile from the pretty riverside village of Bishops Tawton. This pet-friendly period house has recently been completely refurbished to a very comfortable standard, with oil-fired central heating and double-glazing throughout. Accommodation is tastefully finished to a high standard, whilst retaining some attractive original features.
A walk up Codden Hill (adjacent to Overton House) is a must. Choose either the tough uphill routes for the energetic or the gentler paths for the not so energetic. Either way, you will reach the monument at the highest point with the most breath taking views stretching for miles.
LIVING AREAS
OVERTON HOUSE has a lovely spacious dual aspect living room with a feature Georgian style fireplace. Sit back and relax on one of the comfy sofas, and enjoy the TV with Freeview, video player, DVD player and CD player. A conservatory offers further seating and more fabulous views.
A large entrance hall has an under-stairs cupboard containing an automatic washing machine.
KITCHEN
The modern, contemporary kitchen and dining area has a feature fireplace, wooden work tops, cream cupboards and a solid wood floor. Views out through the french doors give this kitchen a delightful country feel. Appliances include an electric cooker, microwave, half and half fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and all other essential kitchen utensils and crockery.
BEDROOMS
There are 2 bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 is a double room with a modern double bed, beautiful mirrored fitted wardrobes, dark wood furniture and a luxurious en-suite bathroom with spa bath. The dual aspect bedroom windows looks out to the garden or to a paddock and trees beyond, perfect first thing in the morning or last thing at night! There is a small ante room, ideal for a cot.
Bedroom 2 is a very large room with twin beds, bedside tables with lamps and a wardrobe. A tilt and turn window/door leads onto a balcony with delightful valley views.
BATHROOMS
An excellent shower room with handbasin, large shower cubicle, heated towel rail and non-slip ceramic flooring can be found on the ground floor.
Bedroom 1 has a luxurious en suite bathroom containing a new roll top bath recently installed
OUTDOORS
French doors lead to a south facing decked area with beautiful Taw Valley views. Garden furniture, 2 x sun loungers and outside lighting are provided - all the ingredients needed for evening drinks and al fresco dining. A private and enclosed secondary decked area with garden furniture and a high quality outdoor HOT TUB (additional cost) overlooks the surrounding countryside. A driveway provides parking for 2 cars.
