This beautifully-appointed, comfortable, terraced 17th century grade II listed cottage is situated in the pretty village of Staindrop, just a mile away from Raby Castle. Providing comfortable accommodation for up to four people, this cosy cottage is well placed to enjoy the wide variety of local attractions including nearby Barnard Castle and Middleton-in-Teesdale. The well-equipped open plan kitchen area provides all that is needed to create and enjoy some fine meals from local produce, or to gather for breakfast and plan how to spend the coming days. The surrounding countryside is ideal for cycling, walking and sightseeing, with a host of historical buildings to visit nearby, including impressive Raby Castle, The Bowes Museum, the roofless ruins of Barnard Castle and Eggleston Hall. Not to be missed is a visit to the spectacular set of nearby waterfalls, including High Force, Low Force and Cauldron Snout, then why not finish the day off with a pint and a bit to eat in the charming village of Middleton-in-Teesdale.
