Newlyn is filled with quaint streets and cobbled courtyards with plenty of traditional inns and restaurants where you can sample local produce. A visit to the neighbouring town of Penzance will provide plenty of activities or take a drive to Marazion for a stretch of golden beach. St Michaels Mount with its 12th Century fortress is within easy driving distance where you have the chance to walk across the causeway at low tide or hop on a ferry. Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint village in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all sea baring craft.
