Positive: Good location in Porthtowan, only 3.5 minutes walk down to the beach and beach front bar. Plenty of room for a family of 4. Decorated nicely with a calm contemporary vibe. Peaceful location without feeling remote. 23 holiday homes on the complex and had a nice secure feel to the place.

Negative: Shelves missing from the cooker of cottage 8, so difficult to cook multiple dishes, pizzas etc as everything had to sit on the bottom of the oven. Impossible to grill anything. Main bedroom double bed uncomfortable, it’s actually two singles pushed together. No fitted sheets and the duvet is far too small for the bed. It barely reaches the sides. Main bedroom balcony door is also stiff and difficult to open/close. No hairdryer, which was listed as included. Walking back up the hill to the holiday home will be difficult for older people or anyone that gets out of breath easily. Blind on balcony door broken and won’t open. All the above negatives are little niggles, but frustrating that the owner hasn’t mitigated these gripes, considering others have shared similar feedback. (Obvs nothing can be done about the walk back from the beach).

Summary: Enjoyable stay, just a few improvements to be made to make this a 9/10 venue.
