The owners have combined comfort and style with original features, such as exposed brickwork. This welcoming hideaway is a cosy base for walking or cycling in the surrounding countryside, and offers a relaxing retreat at the end of a hard day’s exploring There is another cottage next door that can also be booked. This is a cosy yet modern cottage ideal for couples (and their pooch). There is an open plan kitchen/ living room, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a small patio for enjoying al fresco meals. The kitchen is well equipped and has a washer drier and dishwasher. You are welcome to bring a dog (or two small dogs) with you. The cottage does not have its own garden but there are lots of fields near by for canine companions to stretch their legs (the fields near by may contain livestock). The owners live in a house on the property so are nearby if you have any questions but will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. The driveway is shared and runs past the cottage so there may be the occasional car or person that goes past the front of the cottage. The property is located in the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB which is the perfect area for walking or cycling. The Blacksmith’s Arms Pub is a 15 minute walk from the cottage and serves excellent food. The property is a 20 minute drive from lovely, sandy beaches and 20 minutes from the historic market town of Louth, which has a good range of bars, restaurants and delicatessens. The easiest way to get around is by car. The nearest train station is Thorpe Culvert which is 4 miles away and is on the Poacher Line between Skegness and Grantham (with onward connections to Cities such as London and York). There are no taxis or buses from the station, so this option would be best suited to those who plan to bring bikes and can cycle from the station to the cottage. There is another cottage next door so there may be other guests sharing the parking area. EV Charging is available. The drive way to the property is an unmade road and can get a bit muddy in wet weather and is not suitable for low slung sports cars. Please note that the cottage is in a rural location, at the end of summer spiders will be looking for their mate and may enter the building, Cows may also be in the field, which the driveway to the property runs through; if the cows are in your way, you can drive slowly towards them and gently toot your horn and they will move.
