Positive: Great location - middle of nowhere (but close enough to both Kendal and Windermere), picturesque views, lovely walks from the front door. The property was bright, spacious and clean, very well equipped as a home-from-home for the six of us. The hosts provided a wealth of local information with OS maps of the entire area, a bookcase of "Interesting Stuff" for us to thumb through and plan our excursions, as well as a cabinet of board games for the evenings.

Negative: Nothing to not like really. If I was being picky, I'd suggest full blackout curtains for the bedrooms so that the kids could sleep a bit later.

Summary: Excellent home from home in a great part of the world.
