Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Location to where I needed to get to was good. The weather was not good but could see the grounds were lovely. The evening receptionist, who was not the normal receptionist as she was off at that time, was very welcoming and attentive. I think her name was Louise.

Negative: Louise wasn't on the desk in the morning and whoever was didn't even look up to acknowledge me. Asked if I was checking out and when I said yes simply said that's done, not even a thank you for staying or how was your stay. I picked this place over others at it said it had air con. However, there is clearly no air con in the room that I had. The 'heater' unit was specifically for heating the room, which being in a single room, was hot enough anyway. When I enquired about the air con was told can't do anything about it as would have to turn it on for the whole wing! With a heater in the room they could have at least put the heating on. I was offered a fan which was brought to the room promptly.

Summary: Good location for my needs but wouldn't rush to stay again.
