In addition there is a covered veranda seating area at the front of the Lodge which overlooks woodland. There is ample off road parking.

The 4 Munro circuit of Ben Dearg or the 9 Munro peaks of the Fannichs as well as the Torridon hills are nearby. Walkways have been constructed by the Forestry Commission and provide trails around the Black Water River and Rogie Falls, (about 4 miles away). Other activities include wildlife spotting, fishing, mountain biking, or just admiring the magnificent scenery with a scenic drive. If golf is your thing then there are excellent courses a short drive away at Strathpeffer, Muir of Ord, Ullapool, Gairloch and Lochcarron.
