Positive: The staff were universally welcoming and friendly, they went out of their way in trying to fulfil our needs (disabled) and to provide us with equipment that made the stay possible. Well placed in a lively, well serviced, pleasant atmosphered 'good' district of Gent a little way from the historical centre, but well served by trams and buses. The room was exceptionally large, pleasantly furnished, chaired, with a comfortable bed, air-conditioned and heated, clean. The bathroom, with shower over was unfortunately extremely small, with a lack of shelf and hanging faculties. Not amenable at all. Can't fault their care for your wellbeing.

Negative: Supplies of replacement coffee/tea, beakers, glasses, water etc very haphazard, sometimes no replacement or odd items missing. This was rectified if you went down to the reception. Didn't find a direct line to the desk. Bathroom very cramped etc - as noted above. Re-using towels to be green - impossible to dry within despite being asked to do so. There weren't drawers or enough shelve/surfaces on which to put things. Bedside tables were a small shelf, only hanging space in a 'wardrobe' consisting of the open-fronted box, raised from floor level with no light, and hangers not removable from bar. Better us could have been made of th large space available with a rearrangement of planning. Disappointed at this price & status level, to find no slippers or robes. Lack of space in the breakfast room, well provided, but items on high shelves in heavy jars, limited counter for multiple food platters. Similarly with lift, only 2 people with 1 case each for comfort, often occupied by service trollies and replacement glass bottles of water.

Summary: Some points, not all, due to personal circumstance they were great, family enterprise doing well
