Positive: Location and views were amazing. The villa itself was very relaxing, beautiful quiet and spacious. Incredibly thoughtful "welcome package" - not just basics like milk and bread, but some wine and other lovely treats. The provided folder with useful information and suggested places to go was a very nice touch, and we used many of those suggestions. Beds, sofas etc were all very comfortable

Negative: It would have saved a bit of time and uncertainty if there had been instructions in the welcome guide on if and how to use the heating (not just the aircon). But that was quickly addressed via a quick whatsapp message, and the heating worked fine once turned on. Also - the dishwasher and tumble dryer were not working. I did flag this via whatsapp message during our stay, but neither were able to be fixed before the end of our stay. It didn't cause us major problems - and the washing machine was fine, but would recommend the appliances get checked for future guest stays. The wifi router is ok, but due to the layout of the house, the signal doesn't reach all the rooms, hence this could be addressed via a plug-in signal booster, but it wasn't a major issue for us. I didn't mind it at all (in fact it was quite exciting), but the 10 min drive between Sayalonga and the villa, on the bendy + steep road can be attention-grabbing, especially if a truck is coming the other way. Nervous drivers may want to consider if they're up for that each day - as car driving really is essential to explore the surroundings. For those used to living in hilly areas, it's totally fine, and. nothing particularly unusual, but for us from a flat part of the world it do us a couple of days to get the hang of.
