Outside, the whitewashed courtyard garden is a real bonus with bamboo, bulkhead lights and a table and benches, it is sheltered and entirely private. The first bedroom is on the ground floor, a lovely and cosy double. Upstairs, the house reveals its Georgian origins with original stripped floorboards, sash windows and cast iron radiators. Two further bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds are calm and quietly beautiful with soft blush walls, they are the kind of rooms where you actually sleep well. Step outside and Deal is on your doorstep, the beach a few minutes' walk, the pier stretching out over the Channel, and one of the best independent high streets in Kent right around the corner. Great coffee, excellent delis, brilliant pubs, a Saturday market and Walmer Castle's gardens all within easy reach.
