Set in an area of Minehead called Alcombe yet only a mile from the beach, there is a pub at the end of the road serving both food and drink plus an award winning Indian Restaurant just a 5 minute walk away! The main town and beach of Minehead can be reached in just a 10 to 15 minute walk with its shops, bars and restaurants. The West Somerset Railway sets off from here so why not spend a day riding the steam train and exploring the Somerset countryside? North Hill is a great walk, you can drive to the top or walk from the bottom if you dare! There are walks from every direction all over Exmoor, you can spend hours exploring!. For days out in the car head along the coast to Lynton and Lynmouth, take the clifftop railway and enjoy the views. In the other direction you have the harbour town of Watchet with its small local shops. A fascinating afternoon can be spent exploring Dunster, a historic town with a wonderful castle. Beach 1 mile. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 120 yards.
