If you are bringing bicycles with you, there is side access to bring them into the courtyard and pop them undercover by the log store. There are so many cycling routes around here, it’s worth bringing them! The university town of Lampeter is just a short drive away and has a selection of independent shops, coffee shops, and tea rooms. There is a regular market and a museum dedicated to the craft of Welsh quilts. Drive on further to find the National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines - well worth a visit for an underground tour and the opportunity to pan for gold! Do not miss the special coastline of this spectacular part of West Wales. There are plenty of lovely sandy beaches, picturesque coastal towns and villages dotted along it. The colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron is a must, as is the quaint town of New Quay, where you can take a boat trip or spot dolphins from the harbour wall on an almost daily basis. Walkers will be impressed by 65 miles of coastal path, plenty for even the most ardent of ramblers!
