Charming coastal towns like Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay, and Filey are all within easy reach, making Forge House an excellent base for exploring both the coast and country. Take a trip on the heritage steam train over the moors, go back in time at the Ryedale Folk Museum, or voyage out to sea on a boat from Whitby, there’s lots to see and do here. For those interested in mountain biking/cycling, the trails within Darby forest are very popular and are accessible directly from the cottage. Storage is available in the garage, where there is power, water and lighting provided, along with specific bike storage.
