Appy Dayz is a stylish and cosy two-bedroom holiday home located in the village of Wembury, located just one mile away from the beach at Wembury Bay in South Devon and the South West Coast Path. The cottage was previously the old school in Wembury back in the 1970’s but has since been renovated and split into three dwellings.
Head into the cosy living/dining area which feels bright and spacious with an electric fire, plenty of seating for three guests and entertainment is provided by a smart TV with Freeview. The stylish table and chairs provide the perfect space for a leisurely breakfast or a celebratory dinner. The living room then leads into the well-equipped kitchen, fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and a breakfast bar with stools. There is also a handy food storage area which also houses the washing machine. Upstairs on the first floor are two well-presented bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a high-sleeper single cabin bed (suitable for a child aged 12 to 16 years old). The double bedroom has a handy built-in wardrobe, and the family bathroom is next to the bedrooms, fitted with a shower over the bath, a toilet, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Wembury village perches on a particularly lovely spot of coastline, with low, rocky cliffs to the front and gentle green farmland behind. It is a great starting point for lovely inland and coastal walks to Wembury Woods, the Yealm Estuary, and around Wembury Point. Wembury lies a short distance west of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers, two exceptionally picturesque villages that lie opposite each other on a creek of the beautiful wooded Yealm Estuary - a haven for artists and yachtsmen with pretty waterside cottages and sailing vessels of every shape and size making an idyllic scene for all who visit. Take the passenger ferry across to Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The bridle path which passes directly outside the cottage is a great route for walking down to the beach and horse-riding stables are also nearby. The local village pub is just a few minutes’ walk away and provides excellent meals and a good range of local Real Ales. The bay off Wembury beach is an area of Marine Conservation and has some of the best rock pools in the country, good surfing, masses of wildlife and views of the Great Mewstone. The water here is clean and shallow, and ideal for families with young children to enjoy a splash-about. Providing dramatic scenery at any time of year, this area of coastline is stunning, yet within an easy drive of the city of Plymouth, Dartmoor and the popular beaches of the nearby South Hams.
