Located just 4 miles from the centre of Montrose and a couple of miles from the nearest shop and pub, there is plenty to discover in the area. Glorious sandy beaches in Montrose, Lunan Bay or St Cyrus are wonderful for bracing walks or playing in the sand. Montrose Basin is a renowned Nature Reserve and Wildlife Centre and in the winter, thousands of pink footed geese make a spectacular sight taking off in the early morning to feed in the surrounding countryside. Away from the coast are the Angus Glens which form the foothills of the Grampian Mountains with myriad walks and trails to be discovered. Golf, tennis and a leisure pool are in the town itself, or further afield the cities of Dundee and Aberdeen are almost equidistant and have plenty of shops, eateries and theatres for an alternative day out.
