Ithe house has been renovated respecting the original spaces and is characterized by an exclusive style that makes each one a unique environment. Small corners of paradise to rediscover the slow rhythm and the pleasure of the countryside.
I restored my house with three arches, a typical rural building dating back to the 16th century, respecting the original spaces with traditional materials and construction techniques, following the principles of sustainable architecture. In perfect harmony with the gentle Miocene hills of the historic region of Marmilla, I wanted to recreate a welcoming place to retreat to, an exclusive pause for relaxation after a journey to discover an ancient territory made of breathtaking landscapes, history, culture, and traditions, far from mass tourism circuits but rich in emotions and experiences lived.
All the original spaces have been preserved, whether dedicated to work or to housing, therefore from the loggia you have access to the kitchen with the fireplace, to the dining room, and to a bedroom, as well as the laundry room.
The house has a large relaxation room (sa domu e' sa scaba) and a second bedroom with a private bathroom.
The house and courtyard are available to guests except for the barn located on the second floor. It is located in the historic center of a small village in the center of Sardinia, and therefore there are no particular problems in finding free parking right next to the entrance.
The original architecture has been preserved in its entirety, including the internal spaces and openings to the outside. The new functions of the environments have been attributed without demolishing or building new walls, in full respect of the historicity of the building. Access to the house today is through the kitchen and the rooms are located in the ancient spaces of peasant work. Similarly, the original level differences between the environments have been maintained, so they are connected to each other by some stone steps while accessing the front patio through two symmetrical ramps of steps. The openings to the outside are original and typical of traditional Sardinian rural architecture: their small size allowed the control of thermal fluctuations and therefore kept the interior cool during the summer and warm in the mild winter.
