The ancient village of Donisthorpe lies on the Derbyshire/Leicestershire border and just a short drive from the picturesque Derbyshire Dales. This former mining village has a thriving village pub, one of the oldest buildings in the village, a Post Office and shop and is ideally located in the heart of the National Forest close to many chocolate box villages and interesting towns. Nearby Burton upon Trent is a town straddling the River Trent, made famous by its breweries, and home of many award-winning ales.
