Maenporth Beach, a pretty, secluded cove with a sandy beach, flanked by green hills is a short walk down the hill, passing by The Cove - a smart bistro restaurant and cafe with a Mediterranean style terrace. The facilities here are excellent, Maenporth leisure complex is for the exclusive use of residents and has a 15 metre indoor heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and sun terrace with BBQ. A pool table and table tennis can be found in the lofty games hall. Also on-site is an all-weather tennis court and a family sports facility including two pickleball courts and a basketball net. There are four dedicated electric vehicle charging points situated near the leisure centre. The gardens, leisure facilities and play areas are all beautifully presented and maintained to a very high standard. Tasteful and elegant Pine Cottage sits between the indoor leisure centre and the tennis court. To the rear, you have your own private patio which looks over the adjoining communal lawned gardens, Monterey pine trees and open countryside beyond. Inside, the spacious open plan lounge/diner has comfortable sofas and glazed doors to the outside sitting area. Also on the ground floor is a well equipped, smart fitted kitchen. Upstairs are the family bathroom and two bedrooms - a bright and airy master and a family room with three single beds.
Falmouth, with its harbour, winding streets and beaches, boasts pubs, shops, an art gallery and National Maritime Museum. Pendennis Castle is a popular attraction, on its own peninsula with sea views. Across the harbour is the town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, beaches and the countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. There is also Swanpool Nature Reserve; a lagoon and SSSI, with a variety of wildlife. Falmouth offers landscape and attractions for everybody, sure to tempt you back time and again.
