Canons Court Lodge is a grade II listed historical country home built in the late 1600's. Full of original features and perfect for large families and get togethers with plenty of space for everyone. Peaceful location with a large dog friendly garden, Inside there are two gorgeous wood burners, a central family kitchen hub and 4 large bedrooms as well as all modern amenities.
Plenty of walking and cycling routes nearby, easy access to M5, Bath, Stroud, Bristol and the Cotswolds.
Overview:
Entrance via the front porch into the entrance hall with its beautiful original flagstone floor.
The kitchen dinner is the first room to the left: with two tall windows to the front, this room is full of light and character. Close the shutters and the space is perfect for those cosy winter night ins, including the addition of a large wood burner. The kitchen is equipped with a large range style cooker, tall fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle. Plenty of cutlery and crockery, as well as pans and utensils are available for preparing family meals around the big kitchen island. The table is extendable and large enough to sit all 8 guests comfortably.
To the rear of the house, there is a utility area with a family sized washer-dryer, sink and an additional fridge-freezer. The first family bathroom is also located on the ground floor, and it offers a deep ofuro bath as well as a separate shower.
Two bedrooms are located in the newer extension. Both have wooden window shutters: One twin room with chest of drawers, shelves and hanging space. And also a double bedroom, with bedside table and plenty of storage in the built in wardrobe.
On the first floor, the spacious living room offers plenty of sitting area in the L-shaped sofa, especially designed for this area. For entertainment, there is a large smart TV and a play area on the side with a small sofa and plenty of games for the children and the grown-ups (why not!)
Beside the living area, it's the second bathroom with a shower.
The master bedroom is located on the top floor, showcasing double aspect windows with great views of the neighbourhood countryside as well as an A-shaped ceiling. This spacious room has its ensuite with a shower, and its own walk-in wardrobe. To complete, a final bedroom with double bed, chest of drawers and walk in-wardrobe as well as plenty of shelving .
**Please note there is an unsecured high loft bed with access via steps without a rail which are not recommended for smaller children (use at your own risk).
The large secured garden is mainly laid to lawn and it's children and dog friendly. It has a patio with outdoor table and chairs, a charcoal bbq and a firepit.
Parking off road is available for 1-2 cars, but there are shared parking spaces at the front of the property.
Guests have the property entirely for their use during their stay. Please note cupboards may be locked for personal possessions.
We will give you completely privacy during your stay, but will be contactable via phone, msg or Airbnb.

- Please do not use the mezzanine bed in the top floor bedroom
- Please consider the environment when setting the heating temperature, and reduce the
thermostat down to 16 when leaving the property
- Please note the dehumidifier should be left on at all times
- Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. Please note that you will be
charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them
- When leaving the property please make sure you lock the door and all the windows and take
all belongings with you. Forgotten items shall be sent back at adm cost of £20 (excl.VAT) plus
cost of postage
- Please remove all rubbish and wash up kitchen utensils and cutlery before your departure

- Only one well behaved dog permitted
- Do not leave your dogs unattended at any time
- No pets on the furniture. Please keep them downstairs only. If rules are not observed, or
additional cleaning is needed, additional charges will apply.
