Thanks to its unique geographical and geological features, the crystal-clear waters of Lake Weissensee warm up to 24°C in summer and regularly offer the largest groomed natural ice surface in Europe during winter. The turquoise-hued lake lies south of the High Tauern, far from any transit traffic, nestled in a small high valley at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level.
