Getting Around:

Route 173 is a route that runs from Bakewell to Buxton. The service is relatively infrequent, especially on weekends, so it's important to check timetables in advance. Getting the bus to Bakewell will provide you and your guests a trip to the bustling market town where you will be greeted with shops, restaurants, and the famous Bakewell Pudding. Alternatively take the bus to Buxton which is known for its Georgian and Victorian heritage, including the Buxton Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens.
Birchover does not have its own train station, but there are a few nearby stations that can be accessed via bus or taxi. The nearest station for connecting to regional trains is in Bakewell, about 5 miles from Birchover. Matlock station is another nearby option, located approximately 9 miles from Birchover.
